Radiate

Castle Hill

She swallowed the sun
and took it to bed,

seared with the light
and heat of hope,

rose at dawn to meet him
on the hill with the castle,

emerald-eyed boy,
horizon smile.

He brought a blanket
and coffee to warm her,

she offered him
her brimming sunrise,

wept salt
into the wind

when he blinked
and put on his shades.

Brilliant, in more ways than one.

Yes, welcome back. Nice little parable about how much of our worldly welcome any Other can receive. Perfectly expressed with those awful sunglasses.
